"I chose HVSH so I could be close to home and provide care to those in my community."
Aveena Pelia, DO
“I perceived a strong sense of camaraderie between residents of the program, and great enthusiasm for medicine and their community was my first impression. The defining point for my decision was the autonomy given to practice, with this I knew the program would help me develop into a strong, competent, and independent physician with knowledge of evidence-based medicine to take care of my patients."
Hana Nadeem, MD
"I am pleased of the amount of camaraderie that comes along with this program. When interviewing, I realized the prestigiousness and company at the Valley are stronger than ever which persuaded me to come here. It truly feels like a family away from home, and I am blessed to have matched here as an Internal Medicine resident."
Fatima Sylla, MD
"I chose HVSH for my place of residency because after my interview day, I knew without a doubt that HVSH was the place I wanted to be for residency. I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere of the program and a true sense of competence and autonomy within the residents. I was impressed by the program’s strong leadership and I knew that by coming here for residency, I was setting myself up for success in my future career."
Karam Grewal, MD
"I chose to come to Huron Valley Sinai Hospital because of the 4 + 1 schedule, which brings an excellent atmosphere for balancing work on the hospital floors, and the primary care clinic. This allows for continuity of patient care while having a dedicated week for didactic lectures. Furthermore, the program size allows for training tailored to each individual resident which ensures that we are all developing appropriately. Finally, since there are no fellows in house, residents are exposed to a higher case load compared to other programs."
Karina Torres, MD
"I chose this program due to their strong didactic curriculum and 4+1 system. My decision was further reinforced during the resident meet and greet when I was able to appreciate the camaraderie."
Conrad Chrabol, MD
“HVSH impressed me with it’s strong commitment to training residents to be competent and self-sufficient. I am confident that I will be well prepared to work independently and provide comprehensive and meaningful care to my patients.“
